Design and Construction Week
Las Vegas Nevada, January 18-22 2015

The Kitchen and Bath Industry Show (KBIS), is an exciting, interactive stage that showcases the latest industry products, trends and technologies all housed together with the International Builders’ Show (IBS), under the banner of Design and Construction Week.  This mega event attracts over 125,000 attendees and houses more than 3,750 exhibitors with 4.7 million net square feet of exhibits all to inspire and drive the possibilities of home forward!

Design and Construction Week is a great way for manufacturers and service providers to connect with designers and other industry pros.  The show provides limitless inspiration and the designs found here will translate into new and innovative concepts for my clients. Some of my favorites from this year’s exciting new products are a $9,500 toilet, beautiful geometric tiles and sculptured wood panels, as well as a range of sculptured and painted tubs. Check out more of my finds below.

I look forward to transforming what I've discovered into tangible designs for my clients.

Whether the tubs are sculptured or painted, they stand out as a piece of art. The Kanvas™ collection by Aquabrass brings art to the bathroom in a limited series of hand-painted freestanding bathtubs, each one signed by the artist. Clarke Architectural brings you full range of visually striking museum quality creations designed to be centerpieces of any bathroom.

Ann Sacks' Ogassian Brisé collection:
Taking its cue from 70’s modern and mid-century cinderblock screens, Ogassian Brisé (French for breeze) is a breath of fresh air in concrete.

TOTO has developed a self-cleaning WASHLET with its new Actilight technology. Actilight consists of two phases that actively fight waste and bacteria. Prior to the first use, the WASHLET sprays the toilet bowl with water. Once the toilet is flushed, the WASHLET sprays the bowl with electrolysed water. This water has an antibacterial effect and prevents waste from accumulating. The toilet bowl also has a special hydrophilic zirconium-coated surface, which helps the electrolysed water simply wash the waste away. The toilet lid features a UV light which is activated once the lid is shut. This light triggers the decomposition process of the waste particles on the zirconium-coated surface. The result -- a toilet that stays clean over the long term.

At an early age I set out to see the world, and while having already visited over 50 countries, I feel that my journey is just beginning. For me, travel and design go hand in hand.  Whether seeking out great shops in trendy neighborhoods or exploring the architectural environment around me, discovering design inspiration everywhere I go enriches me to transform a client’s needs and desires into their dream home.
